First look at: Figma's 1:12 scale Deadpool figure

Looks like Figma's jumping on the Deadpool bandwagon, after Revoltech, Mezco Toyz and Marvel Legends. Their Deadpool figure is set for pre-order tomorrow.

And while it certainly comes with a host of accessories (even alternate boxer shorts!) I can't help but draw comparisons between this figure and what Revoltech had put out earlier this year. It looks to be slightly bulkier, but with similar paint apps and ball-joint articulation.

I thinl Figma's main issue is that they take too long to put out a figure in the market. YES, I'm aware Mezco takes their time as well, but their end product is cloth material and they don't fully base their figures on movie characters alone- they add their Mezco spin to it. The same can't be said for Figma.

One of my major gripes was with their King Leonidas figure. The dude looks awesome and came with the right look, accessories...BUT a sheath can't be used to keep the sword??? What's up with that? I don't know about other collectors, but for me aesthetics should come hand-on-hand with functionality.

Anyway, I believe what will be Figma's best selling point is Deadpool's accessories. So let's hope for the best and keep 'em figs coming!
